Canon William (Bill) Creighton McNee
Ordained 1982
Canon of St.Columb's Cathedral 2000
Extracts from the Rector's Easter Vestry address, Tuesday 15th April 2008

1. This has been a most exciting period in the history of our 4 churches. The changes made in Staffing and Organisation have laid the basis for a continued and sustained Anglican witness in this area. He expressed his thanks to all the members of the Ministry team for their unfailing support.
2. Congratulations were given to Arthur Burns who after a long selection process will commence training in September for the non-stipendary ministry.
3. Each Select Vestry reported a sound financial base with the new grouping arrangements yielding a considerable reduction in Diocesan charges.
4. The choral bursary fund in Christ Church has been a great success and thanks were paid to all who contribute to the musical leadership within the group.
5. Particular praise was paid to our Suday-School Leaders and Teachers for their ongoing enthusiasm to instill a love of Almighty God in the hearts and minds of our young people. We had offered free places to the five young people Confirmed this year on the Diocesan week-end but only one has accepted.
6. Detailed inspection reports are awaited from the Diocesan Architect concerning the work required to put both Culmore and Muff churches back into good repair. At Christ Church the Craig Hall sale will be completed on the 4th June. Plans have been submitted to the Diocese for upgrading the Church facilities. St.Peter's Rectory is at present let but will revert to being the Rectory for the Grouped Parish come January 2009.
7. A very big THANK YOU to the unsung many who help maintain the work and witness of the Church of Ireland in this area.
